We were saddened to hear about the passing of Sir Colin Blakemore yesterday.
We are proud to have welcomed Sir Blakemore to the PSPA Board of Trustees from 2012, and following his successful term, appointed him as honorary Trustee from 2019.
His support to PSPA included being a well-respected member of our Research Committee as well as aiding the development of our successful ‘It’s not Parkinson’s’ campaign.
Sir Blakemore was an amazing neuroscientist and his work in vision and the development of the brain will provide a lasting legacy.
Our thoughts are with Sir Blakemore’s family.
