Working for PSPA

Working for a charity can be a really creative and rewarding experience, where you can learn lots and develop your skills in a supportive environment.

To help give you an idea of what it is like working for PSPA, some of the team have shared what they enjoy most about working for the charity.

“The best thing about working for PSPA is how committed everyone is, from staff, volunteers, fundraisers and people affected by the conditions, we are all working towards one goal.  I especially feel that when I go and visit one of our volunteer led local support groups”

Rebecca Packwood, PSPA CEO

“I love working for PSPA because it allows me to make a difference in the lives of those affected by PSP & CBD.  Being part of a dedicated team that offers crucial support, resources, and hope to individuals and families facing these challenging conditions is incredibly fulfilling. The charity’s commitment to creating a better future for everyone involved is truly inspiring.”

Debbie Benadie, PSPA Office and CRM System Manager

“I’ve been at PSPA as the Challenge Events Fundraiser since Spring of 2019. I have the humbling privilege of getting to know family members, friends, and colleagues of those affected by PSP & CBD. Fundraising allows PSPA to provide our Support Groups, Education to healthcare professionals, and research regarding these awful diseases. It’s incredibly rewarding watching our supporters become empowered by their fund and awareness raising – and the real impact we can all make when working together.”

Sarah Day, PSPA Challenge Events Manager

“It’s a small and friendly charity where staff are listened to, ideas are encouraged, and wellbeing is valued. This is the first place I’ve worked where following a staff engagement survey, suggestions/ changes have actually been implemented – and within just a few weeks!”
