The festive season can feel less bright when a loved one has been diagnosed with PSP or CBD. But we, at PSPA, want you to know that you’re not alone. Our Bauble Appeal has been launched to help you honour a loved one living with PSP or CBD and help us create a better future for everyone affected by the conditions.
When you dedicate a bauble, your message will adorn our virtual Christmas tree in honour or memory of your loved one. At the same time, your donations will help us provide vital support and resources to people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy or Corticobasal Degeneration, carers, and family members.
Why your support matters
When Chrys’ wife Prema was diagnosed with CBD in 2024, they felt profoundly alone despite the support of their loved ones.
Finding PSPA changed that.
Chrys and Prema were able to access and experience the warmth of a supportive community and get the help they needed to navigate their journey with CBD. Their story serves as a reminder that a gift of connection can go a long way in helping someone affected by PSP or CBD feel less isolated.
Every donation to our Bauble Appeal goes towards funding services, including our Support Groups that can help people like Chrys and Prema at different stages following a diagnosis.
In 2024, thanks to your support, we were able to connect families through 30 monthly Support Groups and organise over 213 Support Group meetings.
Your donations to our Bauble Appeal could also help us provide carers with useful guides and information sheets, plus meetings where they can connect with others living similar experiences.
