It’s nearly time for our first online Research Info Day session of 2026, and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone! The session will take place on Thursday, 19 February from 10 AM to 1 PM, and will include insightful discussions on current areas of PSP, CBD and rare neurological disease research.

This is your opportunity to hear experts talk about their groundbreaking research and its implications on PSP & CBD diagnosis, treatment, and care. In previous years, the Research Info Day sessions have brought together leading researchers and clinicians in the field to give information on vital advances in brain research and neurological conditions. They are also an ideal platform for people living with PSP & CBD, their carers, family members, and healthcare professionals to ask questions and benefit from community engagement.

We have an exciting lineup of speakers for this Research Info Day session, each one bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise in their respective areas of research and study.

  • Dr Annelies Quaegebeur, Director of the Cambridge Brain Bank.
  • Harry Crook, a PhD student working on biomarkers of inflammation.
  • Sumi Bez, a postdoctoral researcher working on a gene called TRIM11, also a recipient of PSPA’s Research Grant.

This Research Info Day is also special as we will be launching PSPA’s Research Strategy for 2026-2030, which will focus on supporting CBD & PSP research that can make a real impact on diagnosis, treatment and care. If you are curious about current research on faster diagnosis and possibly slowing the progression of rare conditions, like Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasal Degeneration, register now and join us on Thursday, 19 February at 10 AM.
