Join #TeamPSPA for the 2026 AJ Bell Great North Run!
We are now accepting applications for the 2026 event. While your application will be acknowledged straight away, charity places will not be allocated until late December 2025, or January 2026 at the earliest.
We would love to make this the largest GNR team for PSPA ever, and encourage you to apply early, for both charity places and ballot places. Please note runners must be at least 17 years old on race day.
The AJ Bell Great North Run is the world’s biggest and best half marathon, with 60,000 runners taking on the route from Newcastle to South Shields each year. It’s famous for its inclusive atmosphere, unbeatable route-side entertainment and warm Geordie welcome!
Great North Run magic can be hard to understand – until you’ve experienced it for yourself!
The public ballot is now open! As charity places will be incredibly limited, we encourage entering the ballot as well in order to maximise your chances, and hopefully grow out team even larger! As a reminder charity places come at a cost and therefore we offer a lower entry fee, and then ask you to raise a certain amount. If you are successful in obtaining your own place, the entry fee is higher however there is no fundraising commitment – you set your own target! Our support to you, if you are running for PSPA, is exactly the same!
Enter the ballot here: https://www.greatrun.org/events/great-north-run/
Terms & conditions from organisers can be found here.
Our Great North Run fundraisers, whether they be own place or charity place entry, will receive fundraising support when needed, and we are happy to supply you with a PSPA running vest or shirt for on the day.
If you need any additional materials such as sponsor forms, PSPA balloons, flags, clappers, fact cards and leaflets they are available upon request.
