Boyd is a Consultant Neurologist at the University of Southampton/Southampton General Hospital.
Boyd is currently a consultant neurologist in the Wessex Neurological Centre in Southampton and Salisbury hospitals and is past president of the British Neuropsychiatric Association.
Dr Ghosh leads a specialist regional service for patients with atypical Parkinsonian syndromes, which includes PSP, MSA, CBS as well as mimics. This is a multidisciplinary clinic, collaborating with therapists in the community, ophthalmologists and the palliative care services.
He has previously assisted PSPA in care pathway development and advised on several of their guides for healthcare professionals. He is chief and principal investigator for commercial and academic studies investigating PSP and other atypical Parkinsonian syndromes. He lectures and publishes on the subject and teaches for a national course – the Parkinson’s Masterclass.
Boyd joined the PSPA Board of Trustees in 2022 and is a member of the PSPA research committee.
