2027 Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge
Join Team PSPA for an unforgettable Bank Holiday weekend and take on one of the UK’s most spectacular coastal challenges.
Take on the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge for PSPA
Walk, jog or run your chosen distance along the stunning Isle of Wight Coastal Path, taking in dramatic cliffs, beautiful countryside and some of the island’s most iconic landmarks.
Whether you’re looking for your first challenge event, want to step up from a marathon, or are ready to tackle the epic 106km Full Island Challenge, there’s an option to suit you. Choose from distances including 10 miles, 25km, 50km, half-island challenges or the full 106km route – and take it on at your own pace.
By taking part for PSPA, you’ll be helping us create a better future for everyone affected by Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD).
About the challenge
Starting from the event basecamp at Chale, the routes showcase some of the very best scenery the Isle of Wight has to offer.
Depending on the distance you choose, you could find yourself following the spectacular southern cliffs towards The Needles, heading north to historic Cowes, passing through seaside towns including Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor, or completing an incredible 106km circuit of the island.
There are several challenges to choose from:
- 10 Mile Medina Challenge – a scenic route starting and finishing in Cowes.
- 25km Quarter Challenge – take on a section of the spectacular coastal route.
- Southern 50km Loop – starting and finishing at Chale and taking in The Needles and panoramic trails.
- 52km or 54km Half Island Challenges – tackle either half of the island.
- 106km Full Island Challenge – complete the full route continuously or over two days, with an overnight stop available at Cowes.
Whichever distance you choose, you’ll receive plenty of support along the way. Ultra Challenge events include signed routes, rest stops, food and drink, medical support and tracking, followed by a well-earned medal, finisher’s T-shirt and finish-line celebration.
