WHAT IS PSPA’S PATHWAY TO PROGRESS?

We invite supporters from all over the UK to join us in this special event. Whether you create your own walk or join an existing team, this is the perfect opportunity to make a difference and show your support for loved ones living with PSP & CBD.

Our community fundraising event aims to engage individuals, teams, work places and schools in a health-focused challenge to walk a minimum of 6.3 miles (10.08km) virtually. The chosen distances symbolise 1/100th of the Southwest Coastal Path.

This event not only promotes physical activity but also fosters community spirit and raises funds for PSPA to help us deliver and expand our support services for everyone affected by PSP & CBD.

HELP RAISE £80,000

In 2025, we have an incredible reason for you to take up the challenge.

A generous donor has pledged to match every pound raised by our supporters, up to an amazing total of £40,000! This means that if we can raise £40,000 through our Pathway events, we will have that amount doubled to £80,000!

Imagine the impact we can make together!

VALERIE RICHARDSON

“Since Al’s diagnosis, we met so many professionals who had no idea what PSP was, and we wanted to change this.

“To organise our walks, we chose a local venue, Tees Barrage, knowing that route was 5km in distance and easy to access. We used social media to advertise it and we encouraged a core team of participants who each gained sponsors. The grandchildren made markers for each kilometre and we decorated the route with PSPA balloons and flags.

“The walks we organised were a great family occasion where we raised awareness of PSP and also vital funds for PSPA, to help support families like ours.

“Al died in January and we are planning our third walk for PSPA in August, on his birthday. Al donated his brain for research to UCL Brain Bank to try and help others diagnosed with PSP. Part of his legacy will be another walk in memory of Al’s great strength and courage to fight PSP to the end, raising funds for PSPA who are continuing to support families like ours.”
