Carer at support group

We are committed to ensuring that family and unpaid carers of all ages who support people with PSP or CBD have access to a network of support and high quality information.

This can be provided by PSPA or through other organisations to help carers to achieve and maintain quality of life for themselves and those they are caring for.

Support from PSPA

We support families and unpaid carers through our helpline, SCAs local groups, volunteer support workers  and online forum.

Local authority and social services

Your local authority will be able to direct you to local support and services. Contact our helpline for details.

NHS and health services

Most health services are first accessed via your general practitioner (GP).

Voluntary organisations

A wide range of voluntary organisations may be able to support you and the person you care for. These include disability organisations who assist on all issues relating to disability and independent organisations offer benefit advice, information and services.

Emergency carer schemes

These provide carers with the reassurance that, should they be involved in an accident or emergency whilst out alone, the person they care for will receive co-ordinated assistance immediately.
